The rise in foreign exchange reserves for China during September

BEIJING, October 7/ WAM/ The total foreign exchange reserves of China reached 3.3387 trillion dollars at the end of last September, an increase of 16.5 billion US dollars or 0.5% compared to the end of last August, according to official data issued today by the Chinese National Foreign Cash Authority.
The authority attributed the rise to the common impact of currency exchange and changes in asset prices, noting that the US dollar index witnessed slight fluctuations during last September, while the prices of financial assets in general increased.
The commission added that China is still in a good situation to maintain general stability of its foreign exchange reserves supported by its stable economy.
