Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, mourned with great sadness and sorrow, God willing, the great scholar Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem, a member of the Council of Senior Scholars in Al -Azhar, former President of Al -Azhar University, and the former head of the Religious Affairs Committee of the People’s Assembly, who passed away at dawn today after a life full of giving in the service of knowledge and calling to God

The Speaker of Parliament said: & quot; With reassuring hearts that are satisfied with the judgment of God and his destiny, we are informed to the Arab and Islamic world the death of the great scientist Dr. Ahmed Omar Hashem, the owner of various scientific contributions in the Sunnah of the Prophet and the sciences of hadith, and one of the most prominent flags of the honorable Al -Azhar who vowed their lives to serve religion and science …. calling on the Almighty to shroud the deceased with the mercy of his mercy and to live in his vastness and his family Silwan.
