Saudi Arabia and Greece discussed today, Tuesday, the opportunities to enhance investment partnerships in the industry and mining sectors. The Saudi News Agency (SPA) stated that this came during a round table meeting headed by the Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim Al -Khuraif, and the Greek Minister of Development Dr. Takis Theodoricakus, with representatives of the Greek private sector, which was held in the capital Athens. What the private sector performs in strengthening investment partnerships between the two sides, and taking advantage of the qualitative opportunities available in the industry and mining sectors, especially with the possibilities and incentives the Kingdom provides to investors. Military industries, sectors related to the relative advantages of the Kingdom, such as the Kingdom’s strength in raw materials, oil, gas and minerals, or the Kingdom’s strategic location feature by maximizing the benefit of raw materials and converting them into final products such as transformational chemicals, and mining industries. The fall reviewed the Kingdom’s 2030 vision, to develop the mining sector and turn it into a third pillar in the national industry; To maximize its benefit in the march of economic diversity, indicating that the comprehensive mining strategy and mineral industries focused on exploring and exploiting mineral wealth in the Kingdom, through the launch of geological survey programs, which resulted in high estimates of mineral wealth from 1.3 trillion dollars to $ 2.5 trillion. Investment in the Kingdom by improving the mining investment system, to become one of the best regulatory frameworks globally, stressing that the Kingdom has also focused on enhancing global cooperation in the mining and mineral sector through the launch of the International Mining Conference, which is a global platform for building partnerships, and discussing the future of the sector and its challenges. The meeting comes within the official visit of the Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to Greece, which aims to expand the horizons of strategic cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors, and attract specific investments to the Kingdom.
