The third documentary episode of “Poet of a Million” reviews competitions "Jordan tour"


ABU DHABI, 8 October / WAM / The “Million’s Poet” program, produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, devoted the third recording episode that was broadcast yesterday to the “Jordan Round” qualifying competitions for the twelfth season of the program produced by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, under the slogan “Our Poem is One.”
The episode provided comprehensive coverage of the jury interviews that were conducted in the capital, Amman, over the course of September 9 and 10, with the participation of 110 poets from several Arab countries, including seven female poets.
The interviews resulted in the approval of 103 poets, and witnessed the poet Wadah Al-Kayed Al-Adwan qualify directly to the “100” stage after receiving the golden card from Dr. Ghassan Al-Hassan, a member of the jury.
The Amman tour witnessed the presence of dozens of poets coming from various governorates of Jordan and a number of Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Tunisia, where they stood before the jury to present their poems.
The program’s jury confirmed that the Jordan tour provided qualitative content that reflects the richness of the poetic experience in the Kingdom, while the poets expressed the program’s impact in highlighting the presence of the Jordanian poet on the Arab scene.
The “Poet of a Million” podcast hosted the stars of previous seasons of the program, Anwar Al-Haqish Al-Sakhari, Majd Al-Khamasiya, and Mutaib Al-Nassar, where they discussed the importance of the poet’s continuous presence before the audience, stressing that a poet is not born a poet by nature, but rather his talent is shaped by practice and experience.
The stars spoke about the role of “Million Poet” in enhancing their spread and poetic development, pointing out the richness of the poetic experience offered by the program.
The poets who were not lucky enough to qualify expressed their gratitude for the interview experience before the committee, noting that the precise critical feedback they received constituted a real incentive to develop their poetic tools and hone their talent, stressing that the experience in itself is an important gain and qualitative experience that gives them confidence and readiness to participate in the upcoming seasons of the program.
