Dubai Women’s Establishment organizes a program "Media competence of women leaders"

DUBAI, 8th October, 2018 (WAM) – The “Media Competence for Women Leaders” program, organized by the Dubai Women Establishment in cooperation with the Dubai Media Academy, affiliated with the Dubai Media Incorporated, was launched to enhance the leadership presence of Emirati women in the media sector in its various visual, print, audio, and digital forms. It will continue until October 23rd, with the participation of 26 female leaders and those concerned with institutional communication in 20 governmental and semi-governmental entities in Dubai.
The organization of this specialized program is a translation of the strategic vision of the Dubai Women Establishment, which aims to empower Emirati women and enhance their role in various sectors, including the media sector, which currently constitutes one of the most important tools for influencing and creating the mental image of institutions and individuals alike.
The program aims to enhance the media and strategic communication skills of women leaders and enable them to represent their organizations efficiently and professionally in local and international forums by providing them with the main components for dealing with conferences and media interviews, building corporate messages, and empowering them with future media tools such as artificial intelligence and modern technologies, especially since we live in a rapidly evolving media era in its forms and tools.
Her Excellency Naima Ahli, Executive Director of the Dubai Women Establishment, said that this program is part of a series of training programs targeting women leaders in governmental and semi-governmental agencies to provide them with the necessary tools to excel in multiple fields, most notably effective communication and corporate media.
For her part, Mona Busamra, Director of the Dubai Media Academy, praised the great efforts made by the Dubai Women Establishment in supporting Emirati women and expanding the scope of their presence and influence in vital sectors, including the media sector, which today is considered one of the most prominent fields that require high competencies and the ability to deliver messages effectively and professionally.

The program is held for 3 weeks, during which female leaders and members participate in intensive workshops, practical sessions and activities, and meetings with inspiring figures. A number of media figures and academics with experience in media training and specialists in communication and public relations participate in its presentation.
