US President Donald Trump announced that he will try to go to Egypt to attend the signing ceremony of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

He said in a government meeting, “I will try to make the visit. We will try to go there. We are working to determine the time.”

He added that the Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip will be released “Monday or Tuesday,” adding that the agreement “ended the Gaza war.”

For his part, US envoy Steve Witkoff said that Trump will go to Egypt next week.
