“Uranus Star” drinking water is contaminated… and its import is prohibited

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment has warned against purchasing the bottled drinking water product “Uranus Star” or any of the products of the same brand, stressing that no official permits have been issued to import or trade these products.

The Ministry explained in a statement that the aforementioned product had been proven to be contaminated with substances harmful to health in one of the neighboring countries, indicating the activation of immediate verification steps that included direct coordination with all local authorities concerned with food safety in each emirate, and auditing of food shipment records at all ports of the country.

The Ministry stated that it has intensified procedures and oversight to ensure that no permits or permits are issued for shipments of the aforementioned bottled water product or any products of the same brand.

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment called on the public, who may have purchased the aforementioned product from any of the sources, to immediately dispose of any quantities in their possession, even if they are small, and not to consume them in order to preserve their health and safety.
