Fujairah Municipality wins an award "Silver Steve" International about the road lighting project

Lisbon, October 11 / WAM / The Fujairah Municipality won the international Silver Steve Award for its innovative project, “Fujairah Road Lighting Project,” in the “Organization of the Year – Non-Profit or Governmental Entities” category, within the International Business Awards for the year 2025.
The Fujairah Municipality was honored during the awards ceremony held yesterday, in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, in recognition of its efforts in developing a smart and sustainable infrastructure that contributes to enhancing the quality of life, rationalizing energy consumption, and achieving the emirate’s goals of transitioning towards green and sustainable cities.
His Excellency Engineer Mohammed Saif Al Afkham, Director General of Fujairah Municipality, confirmed that this victory reflects the great support and wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for the process of development and modernization in various fields.
Al-Afkham added that the Fujairah road lighting project represents a model of innovation in energy management and the use of smart LED technologies that reduce carbon emissions and lower operational costs, in line with the country’s trends towards sustainability and climate neutrality by 2050.
The Silver Steve Awards are among the most prominent international awards given to honor achievements in the fields of management, innovation and institutional excellence, and hundreds of institutions from more than 60 countries around the world participate in them.
