Al Ain…a breast cancer awareness march in Pink October
Al Ain, October 12 / WAM / The Emirates Cancer Society participated in a breast cancer awareness walk in cooperation with Tawam Hospital and a number of health and community agencies and volunteer teams, coinciding with the activities of the Pink October Month, in the presence of 450 participants.
The event, which toured the Al Nayadat area in Al Ain, was attended by Dr. Salem Mohammed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Cancer Society, Adam Mohammed Adam Al Balushi, Executive Director of the Society, Tariq Elias, Director of Al Danat Hotel, representatives of the participating entities, and a number of volunteers and community members.
In his speech, Dr. Salem bin Rakad stressed the importance of organizing such initiatives that contribute to raising the level of awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer, and supporting national efforts in promoting public health and encouraging healthy lifestyles, noting that the association’s participation in this march comes as confirmation of its commitment to its societal role in spreading the culture of prevention and awareness.
