المملكة: UC Berkeley celebrates Saudi Professor Omar Yaghi

Established University of California Berkeley Yesterday, a ceremony was held in honor of the Saudi professor Omar Yaghi on the occasion of obtaining Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the year 2025, in the hall "Paulie" At the Student Center (MLK Student Union), his research team also organized another small ceremony.
The university stated on its official website that the professor at the Faculty of Chemistry, Professor Yaghi received the award in recognition of his contribution to innovation "Molecular structures with wide spaces" Known as metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
He also holds a chair "James and Neletji Tretter" at the college, and co-director of the Kavli Institute for Nanoenergy Science at Berkeley, and has research affiliations in the College of Computing, Data Science and Society, and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the College of Engineering.
International Awards
He is considered the twenty-eighth recipient of the Nobel Prize from the Berkeley faculty, and the fifth in 5 years.
His career was crowned. Yaghi Scientific Prize has been awarded a number of international awards, including an award "Von Hippel" (2025), and an award "Tang" in Sustainable Development (2024).
