Dubai, October 15 / WAM / The Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) and the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences announced the launch of the fifth session of the Hamdan – ISESCO Award for the Development of Educational Facilities in the Islamic World, which is considered one of the most prominent joint initiatives aimed at supporting and appreciating efforts aimed at improving the educational environment in countries of the Islamic world, and enhancing the sustainability and quality of the infrastructure. Educational infrastructure.

His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences, said that the Foundation and ISESCO are partnering to support education in the Islamic world through this award, as well as the programs of the Hamdan ISESCO Fund, which embodies the Hamdan Foundation and its mission to support the education process and advance it to broader horizons of excellence and innovation.

He added that the institution seeks, through close cooperation with ISESCO, to enhance the culture of institutional development and joint community work, and to encourage qualitative initiatives that make a real difference in the quality and sustainability of education, pointing out that developing educational facilities is not only an improvement to the infrastructure, but a strategic investment in future generations, which contributes to empowering communities, enhancing their ability to create and innovate, and building a brighter future. Shining light for the Islamic world.

The award will receive nominations this month, while introductory workshops about the award will be held during the period from November 2025 to March 2026, with nominations closing on March 20, 2026, and the winners will be announced in June 2026.

It is noteworthy that the Hamdan-ISESCO Award for the Development of Educational Facilities in the Islamic World was launched in 2017 under the patronage of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, with the aim of supporting ISESCO’s efforts directed at motivating and honoring those in charge of voluntary initiatives and charitable work in the field of education, and encouraging voluntary efforts aimed at developing and building new educational facilities.

The award also aims to improve the educational infrastructure in the Islamic world, and targets charitable organizations, voluntary institutions, donors and benefactors.

Nomination for the award is done through self-nomination or nomination by acclamation, by filling out the application form in Arabic, English or French via the electronic system based on the link: no later than March 20, 2026.
