"National Emergency Authority" divorce "Atlas of emergencies and crises"during "GITEX Global"

Dubai, 16 October / WAM / The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority revealed the launch of its pioneering national project “Atlas of Emergencies and Crises” during its participation in the GITEX Global 2025 exhibition, which represents an integrated digital platform that brings about a qualitative transformation of the emergency, crisis and disaster management system in the country.

This comes in a step that reflects the state’s commitment to enhancing its national readiness, anticipating risks, and limiting the repercussions of future crises.

The “Emergency and Crisis Atlas” is a smart national platform that employs the latest artificial intelligence technologies, and was developed based on geographic information systems and remote sensing technologies, with the aim of supporting national capabilities in predicting potential risks, enhancing preparedness and preparedness, and improving the efficiency of response operations and dealing with various emergency scenarios.

The system is distinguished by being an integrated geospatial platform that includes more than 40 specialized applications covering various areas of national risks, and provides advanced analytical tools that support strategic decision-making processes in all stages of crisis management.

The system also provides interactive and analytical maps that provide a comprehensive visual display of risks, infrastructure, and vital resources at the country level, enhancing the ability of decision makers to take accurate, data-based actions.

The platform enables the Authority’s cadres and strategic partners to conduct advanced predictive analyzes and insights, build multiple assumptions and scenarios, predict risks and evaluate their effects using accurate analytical tools that answer fundamental questions such as: Who? how? Why? how much? And where? It also helps the concerned authorities determine the optimal levels of preparedness for each scenario, and provides practical solutions that contribute to reducing the effects and repercussions of risks, thus enhancing the speed of response and the efficiency of dealing with national challenges.

His Excellency Ali Rashid Al Neyadi, Director General of the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, said that the “Emergency and Crisis Atlas” is one of the most prominent pioneering technical projects that embody the Authority’s approach towards employing advanced technology to enhance the national preparedness and response system.

He explained that the system is not limited to displaying spatial data only, but rather represents an advanced analytical tool for building proactive scenarios, testing the readiness of national plans, and supporting decision-making based on accurate data and using artificial intelligence techniques.

Al Neyadi added that the Authority is continuing its efforts to develop the next generation of “Emergency and Crisis Atlas,” to be more interactive and integrated with national digital systems, to support monitoring, analysis, and smart response capabilities to risks.

He pointed out that the Authority is currently working on developing the geospatial simulation application, which will be launched during the coming period, and focuses on simulating the risk of floods in the areas most vulnerable to them, with the aim of studying their effects and developing proactive models that contribute to reducing their effects and enhancing advance preparedness to confront them.

Al Neyadi stressed that the launch of the “Emergency and Crisis Atlas” at the “GITEX Global 2025” exhibition comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to consolidate sustainable digital transformation in the emergency and crisis management system by adopting advanced geospatial solutions based on data that contribute to supporting national resilience and building a more prepared and sustainable society.
