Beyon and Batelco honored with Technology Achievement Awards at GITEX 2025

The Beyon Group and its subsidiary Batelco won two prestigious awards at the MEA Technology Achievement Awards 2025, which were announced during the GITEX 2025 exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Batelco, a Beyon company, received the “Outstanding Achievement in New Product or Service Launch” award in the Telecommunications category, in recognition of its successful launch of Voya eSIM for roaming, a customer-focused digital solution that sets new standards for regional connectivity.

Beyon also received the “Excellence in Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) Award” in recognition of its exceptional achievements in this field. The award highlights Beyon’s commitment to adopting sustainable practices within its operations, including the use of a robotic dry cleaning system in its solar park, the implementation of off-grid telecommunications tower sites using smart cooling systems, in addition to the launch of the “Right it Recycle” program, which specializes in the correct recycling of technical waste.

The awards were received by Sheikh Badr bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Chief Corporate Communications and Sustainability Officer at Beyon, and Rashid Mohammed, Chief Technology Officer of Batelco, from Ken Mitchen, CEO and Publisher of MEA Business magazine, during the honoring ceremony held at Beyon’s pavilion within the exhibition.
