60 workshops on sustainable economies in"Sharjah Investment Forum"

Sharjah, 17 October / WAM / The “Sharjah Investment Forum 2025”, which is being held this year with a unified agenda with the “World Investment Conference”, organizes more than 60 workshops and specialized sessions that provide participants with opportunities to learn about the most prominent global trends in the fields of investment and sustainable development, explore future visions on empowering entrepreneurs and supporting small and medium-sized companies, in addition to examining the effects of artificial intelligence and sustainability on decisions. International investment.
The forum’s programme, which will be held on October 22 and 23, aims to consolidate Sharjah’s position as a leading regional center in stimulating sustainable development, attracting quality investments, and enhancing its role in building a business environment based on knowledge and innovation.
The Forum brings together under its umbrella decision makers, investors and international experts to exchange experiences and formulate common visions on mechanisms to support the global economy in facing changing challenges.
Marwan Al-Ajla, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Investment Forum Committee, said that the forum carries multiple dimensions in each session that goes beyond being a platform for communication between investors and decision makers to become a space for learning about the latest trends that shape the future of the global economy, noting that the workshops and sessions will turn into participatory work spaces that translate visions into applicable initiatives, which enhances Sharjah’s position as a center. Effective regionally in building an investment environment based on cooperation, knowledge and innovation.
Indicators for the first half of this year confirm that Sharjah attracted direct foreign investment amounting to $1.5 billion and provided 2,578 new job opportunities. In light of these data, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority is reviewing, during its participation in the forum, the emirate’s unique global position in a workshop entitled “Sharjah: A Destination for Investment, Hospitality, Culture and Education,” in which participants will learn about various investment opportunities. World-class hospitality, rich cultural heritage and leading educational and academic institutions in the emirate.
Members of the Sharjah Youth Council will present at the forum a workshop entitled “Youth Initiatives and Entrepreneurship: From Ideas to Impact,” in line with the national campaign, “The UAE is the Entrepreneurial Capital of the World,” which aims to empower 10,000 entrepreneurs.
The Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects (Ruwad) offers a workshop to enhance the culture of entrepreneurship in society and organizes a session entitled “Introduction to the services of the Sharjah Foundation for Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects.”
As part of the forum’s activities, the Emirates Fund for Growth will hold a workshop entitled “Financing Solutions in the Middle East: Rising with Small and Medium Enterprises in the UAE.”
The “National Logistics Services Network” workshop highlights “NXN” as the national enabler of logistics services in the UAE, which is based on four basic pillars: sending, receiving, storing and enabling.
A high-level session entitled “Economies of the Future – From Risk to Resilience” will explore how economies can enhance resilience through sustainable investment, diversification and innovation.
A high-level session entitled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability on Investment Decisions” examines how AI-enhanced analytics and environmental sustainability, social responsibility and governance (ESG) priorities can transform global investment strategies and how data analysis contributes to risk assessment and capital allocation.
The Sharjah Investment Forum and World Investment Conference program includes more than 160 events and 120 bilateral business meetings and provides an integrated platform for concluding deals and developing strategies under the slogan “Leading the Global Transformation: Investing towards a Flexible and Sustainable Future.” It is expected to receive more than 10,000 participants representing 142 countries on October 22 and 23 at the Al Jawaher Center for Events and Conferences.
The forum is organized by the Sharjah Foreign Direct Investment Office (Invest in Sharjah) in partnership with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WIPA) and the Ministry of Investment and includes a series of workshops and sessions that provide attendees with the insights and tools necessary to enter the global investment market.
