"InfraX" and"Itron" They cooperate to develop smart utility solutions

Dubai, October 18 / WAM / InfraX, a subsidiary of DEWA Digital, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and Itron, which specializes in network edge intelligence solutions, signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in developing and deploying solutions for the next generation of smart utility systems and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
According to the memorandum signed during the GITEX Global 2025 exhibition, which concluded yesterday at the Dubai World Trade Center, the two companies will cooperate in exploring business opportunities and enhancing technical cooperation across key sectors including smart meters, energy management, and smart city platforms, which will contribute to accelerating the development of InfraX’s strong communications infrastructure, while benefiting from the company’s global experience. “Itron” in smart energy and water systems, with the aim of enabling more efficient and data-connected operations across utility systems and cities in the UAE.

For his part, Ayman Al-Sharif, Vice President of Sales at Itron for the Middle East, said that the two companies will work to provide integrated solutions that enable utility companies and cities to manage their resources more efficiently and sustainably.
