Dubai.. More than 50 local and international brands participate in the used boat exhibition

Dubai, October 18 / WAM / The activities of the eleventh edition of the “Used Boats in Dubai” exhibition will be held at the Dubai Creek Marina during the period from October 31 to November 2, which is being held this year under the slogan “A Boat for Every Person,” with the participation of more than 50 local, regional and international brands, including companies, boat and yacht agents, and marine supplies dealers.
The exhibition is one of the most prominent events specialized in the maritime sector in the region, as it provides a platform for displaying and selling used boats and yachts at competitive prices, and contributes to supporting the circular economy and enhancing Dubai’s position as a leading destination in the yacht industry and marine activities.
Market indicators indicate that the size of the recreational boating market in the Middle East may reach about $2.95 billion by 2027, with an annual growth rate estimated at about 4.9 percent, driven by infrastructure development and increasing demand for marine tourism in the region.
Abdullah Ali Al Noon, Director of Special Projects at Dubai Golf and official of Via Marine, which organizes the exhibition, said that the event embodies Dubai’s vision of developing the maritime sector and expanding the base of those interested in owning boats, explaining that the slogan of the current session reflects the keenness to provide diverse options that suit different categories, in addition to focusing on the concepts of sustainability and reuse in the maritime industry.
He added that organizing the exhibition comes in light of the growth of the recreational boat market in the Middle East, expecting it to contribute to supporting the movement of investment and trade in used boats, noting that the exhibition attracts visitors, investors and hobbyists from inside and outside the country, and provides a platform for communication between companies working in this field and exploring opportunities for cooperation. It is expected that the number of visitors this year will exceed five thousand visitors, at a time when the UAE is witnessing rapid growth in the maritime sector, as it accounts for about 50 percent of the size of the boat and yacht marinas market in the Arabian Gulf region and the Middle East, supported by an infrastructure that includes more than 22 marinas with a capacity of more than 4,190 yachts and boats, in addition to integrated facilities for maintenance and support services.
The exhibition integrates with the objectives of the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 by encouraging the trade in used boats and reducing the need for new manufacturing, which enhances the concepts of the circular economy and sustainability in the marine industries sector.
The exhibition includes sections dedicated to financing, insurance, maintenance and spare parts services, in addition to displays of the latest technologies in the field of navigation, hybrid systems and electric propulsion, allowing visitors and investors to learn about developments in the maritime industry in the region.
