15 artists from 13 countries at the Design Gallery Art and Sculpture Exhibition

Ras Al Khaimah, October 19 / WAM / The Arts and Sculpture Exhibition was opened yesterday in the “Design Gallery” hall in the Al Raffa area in Ras Al Khaimah, under the supervision of Engineer Tariq Ibrahim Al Salman, founder of the gallery, and will continue for two weeks.

The opening was attended by Dr. Nasser Al-Ashab, Director of the School of Applied Technology in Ras Al Khaimah, Abdul Karim Naqi, founder of the Emirates Events Platform, and Abdul Rahman Al Bastaki, Vice President of the Emirates Volunteer Association.

The exhibition included 34 diverse works of art executed by 15 artists and sculptors representing 13 countries: the Emirates, Syria, Morocco, Britain, Russia, India, Palestine, Pakistan, Germany, the Philippines, Chad, America and Japan.

Engineer Tariq Al-Salman explained that the exhibition comes in support of Emirati and resident talent and celebrates the “Year of Society 2025,” with a focus on exchanging experiences between artists and empowering young people through training programs and specialized courses.

He pointed out that the Design Gallery was established to be a permanent platform for visual artists and young talents and includes a permanent exhibition of fine arts, photography, and handicrafts.

The works displayed varied between plastic arts, digital arts, and sculptures, some of which were displayed for the first time in the UAE.

For his part, Dr. Nasser Al-Ashab praised the role of the “Design Gallery” in nurturing talent, especially among students, and praised the diversity of participating art schools, especially digital art, stressing that this is consistent with the trends of applied technology curricula that enhance the visual arts and their role in developing creativity and intellectual capabilities among students.
