The UAE Parliamentary Division participates in a conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union in Geneva
Geneva, 19 October / WAM / The Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council, headed by His Excellency Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the UAE Parliamentary Division Group in the Inter-Parliamentary Union, participated in the work of the 39th extraordinary conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, which was held today “Sunday” in the Swiss city of Geneva, on the sidelines of the work of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, with the participation of the heads of Arab parliaments and heads of delegations.
During the conference, the Arab position regarding current developments in the Palestinian issue and condemnation of violations against the Palestinian people were discussed.
The conference issued a final statement in which it stressed the need to strengthen unified Arab positions in the face of regional and international challenges.
Participating in the conference were the delegation of the UAE Parliamentary Division, His Excellency Dr. Marwan Al Muhairi and His Excellency Ahmed Khoury, members of the Federal National Council, and His Excellency Afra Al Basti, Assistant Secretary-General for Parliamentary Communication.
