Saudi Arabia signs two agreements and a memorandum of cooperation to support the efforts of the Yemeni government

The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen and the Yemeni government signed two development agreements and a memorandum of cooperation, aiming to support the Yemeni government’s efforts to enhance economic stability, improve basic services, and build institutional capabilities, within the framework of the continuous support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the brotherly Yemeni people.

 

The agreements signed between the two sides included an agreement to support the government’s budget deficit. The Yemeni government is in response to the government’s priorities in facing urgent economic and development challenges, and to contribute to laying the foundations for economic, financial and monetary stability in Yemen.

aiming to improve the level of services, increase electricity operating hours, and reduce the burden on the Central Bank of Yemen in Providing hard currency to purchase fuel from global markets, which will reflect positively on improving living conditions and enhancing economic stability.

The memorandum of cooperation between the program and the Yemeni Ministry of Interior came to support the ministry’s efforts in building its technical and technical institutional capabilities, and transferring expertise with counterpart agencies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of institutional performance and developing the ministry’s infrastructure.

He confirms This cooperation is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s keenness to support the Republic of Yemen in various vital fields, and to contribute to building and developing Yemeni institutions, achieving economic stability, and improving the level of services provided to the Yemeni citizen, which reflects the depth of the fraternal relations between the two countries, and an extension of the Kingdom’s pioneering role in supporting development and stability in Yemen.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen provided “265” A project and development initiative in “8” Basic and vital sectors, namely education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture, fisheries, and developing and supporting the capabilities of the Yemeni government and development programs, in various Yemeni governorates.
