Al-Sisi announces the organization of an international conference for the reconstruction of Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced on Sunday that Egypt will host an international conference for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip in November 2025.

The announcement came during Sisi’s attendance at the 42nd educational symposium organized by the Armed Forces, as part of Egypt’s celebrations of the 52nd anniversary of the October 1973 victory, at the Al-Manara International Conference Center.

Al-Sisi reviewed the intensive Egyptian efforts over the past two years to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, bring in humanitarian aid, and release hostages and prisoners, a path that culminated in reaching a ceasefire agreement and holding a peace summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.

In this context, the Egyptian President thanked his American counterpart, Donald Trump, for his efforts in supporting efforts to stop the war.

He also announced that Egypt will host in November 2025 an international conference for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, calling on the Egyptian people to actively contribute to the reconstruction efforts, as an expression of solidarity, responsibility and love towards our Palestinian brothers.

Al-Sisi assigned the Prime Minister to coordinate with civil society institutions and relevant state authorities to study the establishment of a national mechanism to collect citizens’ contributions and donations within the framework of financing the reconstruction process of the Gaza Strip.
