Variation in the prices of meat and chicken in Saudi Arabia during the month… and stability of “shrimp”
Prices of meat and chicken varied in Saudi ArabiaDuring last September on a monthly basis, fish prices rose, while the price of shrimp stabilized.
A bulletin showed average prices Goodsand services issued by the Statistics Authority, indicating that the price of fresh beef decreased by 0.5% on a monthly basis, recording 51.8 riyals per kilo.
Meat Prices
According to the bulletin, the price of fresh lamb stabilized at 67.2 riyals per kilo, while the price of imported chilled lamb increased by 0.9% on a monthly basis last September to 54.1 Riyals.
The price of fresh camel meat recorded 52.8 riyals per kilo, decreasing by 0.5% on a monthly basis last September, and the cost of cooking the carcass reached 305.4 riyals.
Chicken prices
Record price Local fresh chicken was 17.3 riyals, down by 0.4%, while the price of local frozen chicken was 18.5 riyals, up by 0.5% on a monthly basis last September.
The price of imported frozen chicken was 18.1 riyals, up by 1%, while the price of fresh chicken thighs was 9.5 riyals, down by 1.7%, while the price of breast fillet decreased. Fresh chicken increased by 2.1% to 20.5 riyals, last September.
Fish prices
According to the bulletin, the price of fresh kingfish recorded 71.1 riyals per kilo, increasing by 0.7% on a monthly basis last September.
The price of fresh grouper fish reached 58.2 riyals per kilo, rising by 1% on a monthly basis, while the price of shrimp stabilized. Fresh peeled at 78.3 riyals per kilo, in September 2025.
