Etihad Airways flies 300 flights daily around the world

Abu Dhabi, October 20 / WAM / Etihad Airways announced today a new milestone in its growth journey with the operation of 300 scheduled passenger flights daily.
The carrier stated today that this achievement reflects the strong growth witnessed by the company in 2025 after the number of daily flights increased by more than 20% compared to last year, which consolidates Etihad’s position as one of the fastest growing full-service airlines in the world, and this comes within the framework of the strongest performance in the company’s history.
All 300 flights are scheduled passenger flights, highlighting Etihad Airways’ role and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as one of the most connected and accessible cities in the world.
Captain Majid Al Marzouqi, Chief Operating Officer and Guest Affairs at Etihad Airways, said: “We continue to expand our destinations, enhance our fleet, and develop our people, as part of our endeavor to achieve our vision of Etihad being the airline of choice for everyone, and this achievement reflects one of the fastest growth paths in the global aviation industry.”
He added that the annual growth across various key performance indicators reflects the strength of our growing network and Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aviation hub.
In September 2025, the company transported 1.9 million passengers, an increase of 21% compared to the same month last year, while maintaining an occupancy rate of 89%. In the first nine months of 2025, Etihad transported 16.1 million passengers, an increase of 18% year-on-year.
The capacity of Etihad’s network increased last September by 25% compared to the same period last year, supported by fleet growth and the launch of a series of new destinations in key markets. During the year 2025, the company launched or announced 31 new destinations, including Medan in Sumatra, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, and Krabi in Thailand, bringing the number of its global destinations to about 90. Destination.
Europe is a major growth market, with flights across the continent up 35% this summer compared to last year.
The number of Etihad’s operational fleet aircraft also increased to 115 aircraft, compared to 96 aircraft in September 2024. This expansion includes the addition of new A350 and 787 Dreamliner aircraft, the return of two additional A380 aircraft, in addition to the introduction of new A321LR aircraft offering first class suites.
Zayed International Airport continues to support Etihad Airways’ growth, providing the space, efficiency and modern infrastructure needed to support the airline’s growing operations, with a capacity of 45 million passengers annually and 65 gates. The airport’s advanced biometric systems and simplified procedures allow guests to move from curb to gate in just 12 minutes.
During the first half of 2025, more than 1,700 new employees joined Etihad Airways, including more than 100 pilots and 1,000 cabin crew members, and more than 1,100 employees were promoted across the company’s various departments.
Earlier this year, Al Etihad launched its new strategy for UAE national talent, which aims to attract the most prominent talents in all sectors of the company.

The strategy includes specialized tracks for pilots, engineers, airport managers and institutional competencies, targeting various levels from recent graduates to holders of Master’s degrees in Business Administration. Over the next five years, the Union seeks to double the number of Emirati cadres in its ranks.
