United Nations: The global trading system is at risk of collapse

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres noted today that Trade wars and increasing barriers to trade.

Global turmoil

US President Donald Trump’s decisions regarding tariffs since he took office in January have shocked financial markets and sparked a wave of uncertainty in the global economy.

Guterres said: "Supply chains are in turmoil, and trade barriers are rising, with some less developed countries facing steep tariffs of up to 40%, even though they represent only one percent of global trade flows.".
