المملكة: November 2026.. Saudi Arabia hosts the UNCTAD Global Forum
Noh and Logistics Services Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosting the second edition of for supply chains, scheduled to be held in November 2026, with the participation of the United Nations and the General Ports Authority.
This came during Al-Jasser’s participation in the work of the sixteenth session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, held in Geneva, Switzerland.
Supporting international trade
In his speech, Al-Jasser welcomed the countries participating in the forum, He was happy to share the news of the Kingdom hosting this global event.
He expressed that hosting confirms the Kingdom’s global leadership position in supportingand enhancing cooperation between countries and logistical connectivity, and in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to make the Kingdom a global center for transport and logistics services linking the continents, looking forward to the active participation of the member states in the forum; To support shaping the future of global trade.
Al-Jasser added that the Kingdom possesses one of the most important geographical strategic locations in the world, as Saudi Arabia is located between three continents, and constitutes a major transit point for more than (13%) of global trade movement. Its ports also occupy advanced positions globally in terms of operational efficiency, and are considered among the fastest growing port systems in the world.

He stressed that the Kingdom has become a global leader and a pivotal center for supply chains, not only through its location, ports, airports, and land ports, but through major strategic investments in infrastructure, digital transformation, and its pioneering initiatives in green transformation. This enhances its role as a reliable and influential partner in shaping the future of global trade.
He pointed out that the forum will be held at a time when global trade faces increasing challenges, from rising costs to geopolitical turmoil and climate changes. This imposes a collective responsibility to find innovative and sustainable solutions.
He stated that the Kingdom seeks, through this forum, to be an effective global partner in building a more efficient, fair and sustainable trade system, believing that international cooperation is the path to achieving common prosperity, and consolidating the Kingdom’s pivotal role in leading the future of global supply chains.
