The United Nations confirms the difficulty of accessing northern Gaza due to the closure of the crossings

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) confirmed that access to northern Gaza remains extremely difficult due to the ongoing closure of the Zikim and Erez crossings, which provide direct access to those areas, while the United Nations and its partners have made progress in intensifying response efforts since the ceasefire took effect more than ten days ago, especially in the central and southern regions of the Gaza Strip. Gaza.
Humanitarian partners monitoring population movement reported that movement towards areas that were prohibited before the ceasefire continues, and since October 10, more than (425,000) movements have been recorded from the southern to northern parts of the Strip.
In northern Gaza, humanitarian partners yesterday visited a displacement site in Jabalia, and two schools housing displaced people in Beit Lahia, after it was impossible to reach them before the ceasefire due to military operations.
United Nations teams were able yesterday to track the goods entering through the Kissufim crossing under the United Nations mechanism emanating from Security Council Resolution No. (2720), and out of 10 humanitarian missions that were coordinated, (6) missions were facilitated, which included collecting water tanks, cleaning kits, and quantities of fuel from Crossings into Gaza.
