Dubai Islamic: 770 thousand users of the application"“DXB” around the world in a year and a half

Dubai, October 23 / WAM / The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai announced that the “Daluk” application for international prayer times achieved a qualitative leap in the number of users after the total downloads exceeded 770,000 downloads worldwide with a daily usage rate exceeding 65,000 active users, which reflects the department’s success in employing digital transformation to serve society and enhance the quality of smart life for Muslims around the world.
Statistics showed that the number of downloads of the “Daluk” application within the UAE reached about half a million, including 200,000 downloads via the Android system and 300,000 downloads via the iPhone system, while the number of downloads from outside the country reached an additional 270,000 downloads, bringing the percentage of international downloads to about 36 percent of the total users.
Analysis has shown that the application is enjoying increasing popularity in the Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to its spread in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands and India, which reflects the spread of its services on a wide scale that includes various continents. This growing interaction is attributed to the accuracy of the prayer times displayed based on the user’s location in addition to its integrated digital features that include accurate prayer times and the direction of the Qibla. With immersive reality and smart notifications that enhance effective communication with application users.
The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai is currently developing a set of additional features that will be announced during the coming period with the aim of enhancing the user experience and expanding the scope of benefit from the application.
She pointed out that the suggestions and comments that the department receives from the public through various channels represent an essential pillar in the process of continuous improvement, which contributes to developing “Daluk” services and reaching the largest possible base of users locally and globally.
