The initiative, called “Love and Faith,” works to manufacture and distribute specially designed medical pillows To provide physical and psychological comfort to patients in the delicate stage of recovery, as it succeeded in producing and distributing more than 1,000 pillows to 13 hospitals across the Kingdom, and its giving extended beyond borders.
Practical design to relieve pain
Dr. Izdihar Al-Hariri, founder of this charitable project, said: "The idea, which began seven years ago with just two pillows, has today turned into a large-scale project that serves thousands of women"
She added: "The importance of this pillow lies in its practical design, as it is placed under the arm to relieve pressure on the wound area, and is used in the car as a protective barrier between the chest and the seat belt, which reduces pain significantly."
She pointed out that the story of “Love and Faith” goes back to Personal experience, where the idea was inspired by a friend named “Iman”, who was diagnosed with the disease seven years ago and needed such a pillow, which was not available at the time.
She explained that from this situation, the initiative was born that combines “love” for the friend and “belief” in healing and the ability to give, to begin the journey of creating hope that started from home and expanded. To include other products.
She continued: "Giving did not stop at pillows, but extended to include other products made with love, such as breast pads and elegant hair bands designed specifically for the hair loss phase associated with chemotherapy."
Applying the idea on a larger scale
She pointed out that the circle of charity will be expanded to include other patients, by providing neck pillows for dialysis patients, and pillows designated for children with tumors, as all of these products have received great acclaim because they come from women who fully understand the extent of suffering and the value of support.
