Russia: We will respond to Western sanctions in a way that serves our national interests

Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, confirmed that Russia will respond to the new Western sanctions in line with its national interests.
Peskov said, in a press statement, according to what was reported by the Russian TASS news agency: “We are currently analyzing the sanctions that have been identified and announced. It is natural that we will act in a way that best serves our national interests. This is the main principle that guides our actions.
He added: “We are not acting against anyone; We act on our own behalf. And this is what we will continue to do.”
The 19th package of European sanctions, which entered into force on October 24, included a ban on banking transactions with several Russian banks, a ban on the export of dozens of different categories of European goods to Russia, a ban on the purchase of liquefied natural gas, in addition to a ban on the provision of tourism services to European citizens wishing to visit Russia.
It was also imposed. Sanctions on 117 foreign oil tankers transporting Russian oil at market prices, despite attempts by the European Union and the G7 to set a price ceiling. In addition, more than 60 individuals and companies from Russia and its allies have been blacklisted by the European Union.
