Sharjah Charitable Society carries out 14,997 dialysis sessions for 332 patients in 2025

Sharjah, 11 March / WAM / The Sharjah Charitable Society confirmed that it has undertaken, during the year 2025, the implementation of 14,997 dialysis sessions for kidney failure patients, benefiting 332 patients, at a total cost of 8.3 million dirhams, as part of its continuous efforts to support patients and provide them with the necessary health care on the occasion of World Dialysis Day, which falls on March 12 of each year.

Mohammed Rashid Bin Bayat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Charitable Society, said that 6,890 of the total sessions were carried out within the Sharjah Charitable Society’s Dialysis Center, which is the first dialysis center affiliated with a charitable organization in the UAE. It includes 16 of the latest medical devices in the world and receives up to 32 cases daily under the supervision of a specialized medical staff with long experience in the field of kidney patient care in cooperation with health care partners.

He added that the association also undertook the implementation of 8,107 dialysis sessions for cases receiving treatment in other hospitals as part of its keenness to ensure continuity of treatment for patients wherever they are and to reduce the financial burdens on them and their families. He pointed out that the association pays great attention to health programs and treatment projects as a priority humanitarian field, stressing that the association continues to develop its therapeutic assistance and expand the scope of its support for all patients.
