The Arab Music Festival restores the sparkle of the golden age of music
The Arab Music Festival and Conference, in its thirty-third session, which is presented by the Ministry of Culture to the Planet of the East, Umm Kulthum, restored the sparkle of the golden age of authentic music, in nights that bring to mind the glory of singing and the spirit of Egyptian and Arab art in its most beautiful era.
This session is organized by the Egyptian Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, and directed by Maestro Tamer. Ghoneim, and his deputy, Maestro Dr. Mohamed Al-Moji, and it is held under the supervision of Amani Al-Saeed, advisor to the president of the opera, so that the house continues its pioneering role in preserving the Arab singing heritage and reviving its treasures in a contemporary spirit.
On the Nafoura Theater, the star Mai Farouk shone with her voice that mixes sorrow and strength, moving on the banks of rapture in a journey that extended From the longing for renewal, she sang, accompanied by her band, led by Maestro Tamer Fayzy, memorable masterpieces of singing, such as A Night of Love, All My Loved Ones, I Wish I Could Meet You, Close and Forgotten, I Laughed Suddenly, Distinguish Me, Don’t Reproach, Far Away from You, What Do I Think of You, Our Nights, The Guidance of the Night, My History, and A Thousand Nights And one night.
In the city of Alexandria, on Sayed Darwish’s stage, the great artist Ali Al-Hajjar carried the audience on the wings of nostalgia through an enchanting evening of music that roamed the shores of conscience. He sang with his warm voice a bouquet of his masterpieces entrenched in memory, such as Money and Children, As Much as We Loved, Night and Afterlife.
