Fame isn’t always glamorous and love in the spotlight is painful

In an exclusive interview with OK! magazine, international star Ariana Grande opened her heart to talk with unprecedented frankness about the hidden side of fame, the emotional relationships that she lived out in full view of the world, and about the emotional farewell she is preparing for with her character “Glinda” in her upcoming movie Wicked: For Good, alongside Cynthia Erivo and Jonathan Bailey.

Grande, 32 years old, was able to build an integrated artistic legend, moving between the worlds of singing and acting with rare flexibility. From a rising star on Nickelodeon to a singer topping the global Billboard charts, to an actress who received Oscar and BAFTA nominations, proving that she is one of the most prominent symbols of the new generation in pop music and cinema.
However, behind the glamor, there are high prices that the star pays daily. “Only a few people understand the pressures that come with success, and Taylor Swift is one of them,” Ariana says candidly. “As women, we face different expectations from the beginning, and if we speak up or demand justice, we are seen as arrogant or picky. We have to continue to support each other and talk openly about what we are going through.”

Love in Ariana’s life has never been far from the spotlight; From her relationship with the late singer Mac Miller, to her engagement to Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, then her short marriage to businessman Dalton Gomez, and finally the controversy surrounding her relationship with her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater.
“Living under a microscope is exhausting,” she says. “You can’t control everything that’s said, but you can protect what’s real in your life as much as possible.”

Despite all the hype surrounding her, Grande continues to move forward with rare confidence. From her Broadway debut as a teenager, to the release of albums like Dangerous Woman and Thank U, Next, her steps have been measured and her passion unwavering. Her career culminated in a Grammy Award for the album Sweetener.

As for her return to acting, she describes it as a return to her roots: “Acting is a childhood dream. Music allows me to be myself, while acting gives me the opportunity to live in other worlds, to understand the motives of characters who do not necessarily resemble me.”

With the end of filming for Wicked: For Good, Ariana admits that saying goodbye to Glinda will not be easy: “This chapter of my life may be over, but I will keep Glinda’s wand in my heart forever.”
