Dubai, 25 October / WAM / InfraX, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority PJSC, and Ericsson (listed on the Nasdaq under the symbol ERIC) signed a memorandum of understanding, with the aim of accelerating the pace of digital transformation in the utilities sector in the United Arab Emirates.
The memorandum reinforces InfraX’s strategy aimed at building a smart and connected facilities system in the country, through developing solutions based on the Internet of Things and automation, exchanging technical expertise, and providing advanced digital solutions that contribute to raising current operational efficiency and pave the way for future innovations that are widely applicable.
InfraX provides advanced digital services and communications infrastructure that supports DEWA’s operations according to the highest standards of reliability. Through its Internet of Things license, the company enables it to develop and market Internet of Things networks and services in the UAE, in a way that serves the digital transformation process of the Authority and other entities and institutions.
Ericsson brings its global expertise in the areas of network modernization, automation, and critical connectivity to mission-critical infrastructure, as part of a partnership focused on growth and innovation.
