Batelco integrates the advanced eKey 2.0 electronic key system into its application

Batelco, a Beyon company, announced the integration of the advanced electronic key system (eKey 2.0) into its application, enabling citizens and residents to subscribe to the new lines easily and securely through a simplified and more seamless digital experience.

Through this update, Batelco becomes the first telecommunications provider in Bahrain to integrate the eKey 2.0 system directly into its application to complete new line subscriptions.

Thus, users no longer need to scan ID cards for verification, but can instantly confirm their identity via biometric authentication using the developed system, ensuring a smooth and secure digital experience.

This important step confirms Batelco’s pioneering approach in providing innovative and reliable digital services, and reflects its constant commitment to improving the digital customer experience, supporting the e-government strategy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and effectively contributing to achieving the Kingdom’s digital transformation vision.
