المملكة: 54.5 million visitors and 11.7 million pilgrims to the Two Holy Mosques during Rabi’ al-Akhir

The General Authority for the Care of Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques Official statistics for the number of visitors and Umrah pilgrims during the month of Rabi` al-Akhir for the year 1447 AH, which revealed that the Two Holy Mosques received more than 54,511,901 visitors, while the total number of people who performed Umrah rituals during the month reached more than 11.7 million Umrah pilgrims from inside and outside the Kingdom, according to the approved measurement indicators that are calculated according to the total number of entry times. (Throughput).

The Authority indicated that the number of Umrah pilgrims coming from outside the Kingdom exceeded 1.5 million, which reflects the continued increasing demand from Guests of the Most Gracious are able to perform Umrah and visit the Grand Mosque, in light of the integrated system of field, organizational and technical services provided by the concerned authorities, which ensures the performance of the rituals with ease, ease and safety.

The number of worshipers in the Grand Mosque

The authority explained that the number of worshipers in the Grand Mosque reached 17,743,854 worshipers, while the number of those who performed Umrah reached 11,748,153 pilgrims during the month, in addition to 93,720 worshipers in Al-Hajr (Al-Hateem).

In Medina, statistics recorded 21,353,370 worshipers in the Noble Prophet’s Mosque, and 2,083,861 worshipers in the Noble Rawdah, while the number of those who greeted the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his two companions, may God be pleased with them, reached 1,488,943 visitors, bringing the total number of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques during the month to more than 54.5 million. Visitor.

Great efforts

The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques confirmed that these numbers reflect the size of the great efforts made by various sectors to serve visitors, pilgrims and worshipers, and to enhance the quality of services provided in the Two Holy Mosques in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God protect them – in providing the finest services to the guests of the Most Gracious from all over the world.

The Authority added that this continuous growth in the number of visitors and Umrah pilgrims comes as an extension of the Kingdom’s efforts to facilitate the arrival of the Guests of God, and to provide a safe spiritual environment prepared with all modern capabilities and technologies, which contributes to achieving a distinguished faith experience, consistent with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which places serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors at the top of its priorities.
