Abu Dhabi "Longboard Classic" It concludes its second edition and crowns the winners

Abu Dhabi, May 27 / WAM / The World Surfing Association concluded the competitions of the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Longboard Classic Championship 2025, at the Abu Dhabi Surf facility on Al Hudayriat Island, after 3 days of competition, with the American Honolua Bloomfield and the Frenchman Edouard Delpero crowned with the championship title.
The closing day of the tournament, which began with the men’s and women’s quarter-finals, witnessed an outstanding performance from 16 male and female competitors from the elite world champions.
Two of the game’s most prominent women, American Avalon Gal and Hawaiian star Honolua Bloomfield, qualified for the final, while the men’s final brought together the defending champion of the 2024 edition, South African Stephen Sawyer, and Frenchman Edward Delpero.
In the women’s final, Bloomfield excelled over the largest artificial waves in the world to score a total score of 16.60 points, narrowly ahead of Gall, who achieved 16.43 points.
Bloomfield was crowned with a cup handmade from Ghaf wood and decorated with traditional Sadu patterns woven by Emirati women.
In the men’s competition, Del Piro made a strong showing, achieving a total of 15.80 points compared to 14.43 for Sawyer, to win the championship title.
