South Korea’s economy records the fastest pace of growth in a year and a half


Economy record South Korea in the third quarter of the year grew at the fastest pace in six quarters, driven by strong exports and rising private consumption.

Data issued by The South Korean Central Bank, today, real gross domestic product, which is the main indicator of economic growth, rose by (1.2%) during the period from July to September compared to the previous quarter.

Rapid growth

This growth is the fastest since the first quarter of 2024, when the economy recorded a similar growth of (1.2%), ahead of an increase of (1.2%). (0.7%) in the second quarter.

On an annual basis, the economy grew by (1.7%) in the third quarter, compared to an increase of (0.6%) in the previous quarter.
