Suhail Al Mazrouei reviews the emergency response system in the Fujairah Petroleum Industry Zone and confirms the stability of energy supplies in the Emirates

Fujairah, March 13 / WAM / His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, made a field visit to the Fujairah Petroleum Industry Zone “Foz” to review the procedures for responding to and dealing with the fire incident that recently occurred in one of the facilities in the region, and to follow up on the efforts of the emergency teams and concerned authorities in containing the incident and ensuring the safety of vital facilities and the continuity of operational operations.

During the tour, His Excellency was briefed on the rapid response mechanisms that were implemented to contain the fire, and the operational plans approved for emergency management in oil facilities, in addition to the level of coordination between the competent authorities and emergency teams in the region, to ensure immediate dealing with such incidents in accordance with the highest internationally approved safety standards.

His Excellency listened to an explanation about the industrial safety system, prevention and risk management measures adopted in the region, and the role played by emergency teams and competent authorities in enhancing preparedness and response to accidents, in a way that maintains the safety of workers and facilities and ensures the continuity of operational operations.

His Excellency the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure confirmed that the energy supply in the UAE is stable and proceeds regularly, noting that the energy system and national supply chains operate with high efficiency and enjoy a high degree of readiness and flexibility, ensuring that the local markets continue to be supplied with their needs without any interruption.

His Excellency explained that the competent authorities are continuously monitoring the situation within an integrated national system for emergency management and business continuity, ensuring the preservation of market stability and the sustainability of vital services in various circumstances.

His Excellency Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei praised the efforts made by the emergency teams and concerned authorities in containing the incident and dealing with it efficiently and quickly, stressing that the level of coordination and integration between the various authorities reflects the readiness of the UAE and its ability to manage emergency situations in accordance with best international practices and standards.

The visit included a tour of the Emergency Response Center and a number of facilities in the industrial area. His Excellency was briefed on the equipment and procedures adopted to enhance prevention and rapid response, reflecting the advanced level of preparedness of the safety and emergency system in the country’s energy sector.
