With 60 schools and 7 cities… “King Abdulaziz Library” launches its reading tour

The tour heads to Jazan region, which aims to reach more than 95 thousand beneficiaries, both male and female, in about 60 schools, in addition to holding events in public places.
The tour will continue for more than two weeks, until November 17, and will cover seven major cities and centers in the region, including: Jazan, Samtah, Abu Arish, Al-Arda, Damad, Sabya, and Al-Darb.
The mobile library is scheduled to present seven diverse reading activities on multiple stages, in addition to specialized reading courses, in which middle and high school students, both male and female, will participate.
This tour comes within the context of the “National Cultural Project to Renew the Connection to the Book,” which the library is adopting with the aim of connecting various segments of society, especially young people, With books.
The project aims to create an incubating environment for creativity, and encourage new generations to read to enhance their knowledge.
The library also seeks, through these activities, to contribute to strengthening national identity and belonging, and acquainting students with national achievements, as well as providing them with the opportunity to learn about various aspects of science, literature, and arts through the buses that provide Various books.
It is noteworthy that the national project to renew the connection with the book succeeded in providing various reading and cultural activities during the year 2024, benefiting more than 280,450 people in various regions of the Kingdom. These tours are a continuation of the library’s innovative approach to reaching the public through reading programs and learning resource buses, in order to enhance the values of reading and cognitive interaction.
