Maram Ali reveals her physical and psychological suffering behind the scenes of the Salma series

Maram explained in media statements that she suffered physically and psychologically during the filming of the 90-episode series, keen to appear convincing in the role of the poor, skinny mother who was exhausted by weakness and emaciation after she was subjected to the stab of betrayal from the people closest to her.
She added, “What exacerbated the suffering is that the mother is struggling with hunger and destitution in the company of two children who she cannot protect or give them adequate affection from which she herself was deprived. Also, as a deceived wife, she no longer has many options.”
This instinct was demonstrated on screen through a brilliant performance of the mother’s character. Maram Ali moves with lightning speed from pain to laughter, hiding her tragedies from the two children, “Julie” and “Shadi.”
She wants them to have a life suitable for childhood, even though they are deprived of all its components. But she struggles with destitution, hunger, fatal illness, and the injustice of those closest to her because of them.
She revealed that she “subjected to a harsh diet so that her body would appear suitable for the tragedy that the heroine is experiencing. She was even deprived of chocolate, which she cannot do without in normal times,” praising the two children, Rosell Al-Ibrahim and Ahmed Shawish, who embodied the characters of her daughter, “Jolie,” and her son, “Shadi.”
She added: “It is not easy at all to film 90 episodes with two children in continuous scenes.”
She pointed out that she feels happy because the audience believed her in the character of the mother who suffers for her two sons, believing that she is in fact a mother, explaining that she “did not get married in reality and did not give birth, which indicates that the spectator was very convinced by her performance.”
