The second day of the Paris Haute Couture Week for the spring and summer of 2026 witnessed the presentation of six prominent shows, which were opened by the “Chanel” house and concluded by the “Armani” house, and included a theatrical performance by the designer Stephane Rolland, on a day dominated by the major creative transformations of new creative directors.

The Chanel show caught the attention as it was the first appearance of the new creative director, Matthew Blasi, in the world of high fashion for the house. Blasi transformed the “Grand Palace” into a charming pink garden, whose decor was inspired by huge colorful mushrooms, which were also reflected in the form of delicate embroideries in the collection.

Blazy sought to restore the spirit of the founder, Gabrielle Chanel, through fluid designs free from classical restrictions. He reworked the famous tweed suit with transparent materials, and introduced feathers as an essential element symbolizing the move toward the future.

Designer Stephane Rolland used the “Winter Circus” in Paris as the stage for his collection, enhancing the dramatic character of his designs, which were praised by the French First Lady, Brigitte Macron. The collection was characterized by theatrical luxury, and included innovative trousers, puffy skirts, and jackets studded with beads and crystals, with a focus on silk and organza materials in royal colors such as white, black, red and violet.

The Giorgio Armani Privé house entered a new historical phase with Silvana Armani assuming the position of creative director. The first collection under her supervision was full of femininity, flow and calm, far from the hustle and bustle of traditional glamour.

Silvana focused on the concept of “real luxury” that can be worn daily, by pairing comfortable jackets with organza ties and flowing trousers, with an emphasis on daywear that gives women confidence without the need to show off.
