Golden embroideries decorate the third day of Haute Couture Week

Delicate embroideries and rich decorations dominated the shows of the third day of Haute Couture Week, where the names of international Lebanese designers Zuhair Murad and Elie Saab emerged through two collections that celebrated femininity and luxury in two distinct styles.

In his collection, Zuhair Murad invoked iconic vocabulary from the 1950s, presenting an artistic vision that reflected the ingenuity of his craftsmen, as the designs seemed more than impressive in highlighting the femininity and sophistication of women. The collection consisted of 45 designs that embodied a self-confident woman, and each piece she wore carried a special story told by none other than Zuhair Murad. The designs were dominated by pastel and light gold colours, with a clear focus on embroidery and sequins, while the cuts remarkably highlighted the beauty of the woman’s waist.

Lebanese designer Elie Saab brought his spring/summer 2026 haute couture collection under the title Golden Summer Nights of ’71, using delicate lace, chiffon, crepe, and silk tulle fabrics. The golden color was strongly present to form the most prominent title of the collection, which reflected Saab’s luxurious imprint and his vision that combines comfort and sophistication.
Elie Saab sought to create designs that exude lightness and fluidity, whether in terms of cuts or choice of fabrics, presenting fashions worthy of the modern woman looking for excellence without affectation, and at the same time reviving the spirit of some of his first collections with a renewed spirit.
