Launching an e-book specialized in Abu Dhabi Global Courts cases

ABU DHABI, October 29 / WAM / Abu Dhabi Global Courts announced its cooperation with the Wilberforce Bar Chambers to launch the “Abu Dhabi Global Book”, an innovative electronic publication that aims to provide a comprehensive reference with specialized analytical explanations for legal practitioners who deal with cases before the Abu Dhabi Global Courts or seek to learn about its practices and procedures.
The electronic guide brings together the Abu Dhabi Global Courts Rules of Procedure 2016 and the practice guidance issued by the courts, and was prepared by Daniel Lewis and Daniel Jewkes, members of Wilberforce Chambers.
On this occasion, Abu Dhabi Global and Wilberforce organized a special event at the Capital’s International Financial Center on Al Maryah Island, during which His Excellency Lord David Hope of Craighead, Chief Justice of the Abu Dhabi Global Courts, and Linda FitzAllan, Registrar and CEO of the Abu Dhabi Global Market Courts, spoke, along with the two lawyers who wrote the book.
The e-book includes an introduction by His Excellency Lord Hope, who spoke about the importance of this publication and said that the Abu Dhabi Global Courts Rules of Procedure 2016 and the Abu Dhabi Global Professional Practice Guidelines were until today published separately, and by collecting them in one book, we will greatly facilitate access to them, which is the goal that we seek to achieve through this book.
He added that continuous updating will be part of the service provided by this electronic version, indicating the possibility of making any amendment immediately without delay or costs, as is the case with paper copies.
For her part, Linda Fitz-Allan said: This book confirms the Abu Dhabi Courts’ global commitment to enhancing access to information, clarity and innovation in the rule of law and reflects our firm conviction that modern justice must be characterized by transparency, comprehensiveness and the use of digital tools.
In turn, Nicholas Lockman, Practice Manager at Wilberforce Bar Chambers, said: This work embodies our continued commitment to supporting legal practice in Abu Dhabi and the region as a whole.
