“The UAE’s skin is thick and its flesh is bitter” adorns vehicles, cards and phone cases

The sayings of the wise leadership of the UAE always embody the true meaning of wisdom and heroism, by motivating citizens to work, build and sacrifice for a better future for their country. They also enhance national unity and bring people together towards a common goal.
This type of statement gains additional strength when it is issued in light of a crisis, regardless of its type or size, as it renews the confidence of citizens and residents in their leadership, and their affiliation with it, thanks to its strong influence on the entire society.
We all remember the phrase “Don’t worry” launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, in light of the “Corona” crisis, which swept the world and threatened its health stability, as it expressed the confidence of the wise leadership in its health institutions, and that the UAE is responsible for its people and residents in confronting the pandemic, and the readiness of our wise leadership to harness all capabilities to serve humanity as a top priority in its approach.
Within a few days, the phrase turned into a new Emirati title that resonates in the heart of every citizen and resident, and when they do not repeat it with their mouths, you find a ceramic cup, card, or banner nearby, and you repeat it on their behalf.
His Highness’s words came as a balm, making reassurance a bridge across the anxiety that besieges the world.
From this angle, it is possible to understand the widespread spread of the message that His Highness recently issued, in light of the current crisis, and it embodied the meaning of the UAE’s solidity and the unity of its people:
“The UAE’s skin is thick and its flesh is bitter and cannot be eaten.”
