A family of 5 died in the collapse of a residential building in Türkiye

A large residential building collapsed in northwestern Turkey today, burying a family of five, three of them children.

 

The Turkish Anatolia news agency, quoting the governor of Kocaeli Province, Ilhami Aktas, reported that rescue workers heard a sound from under the rubble and were trying to reach The person.

 

 

 

Local media reported that other residents of the seven-story building were not present as they were away on trips during a public holiday in Turkey.

 

 

It was not immediately clear what caused the collapse of the building located in the Gebze district near Istanbul. It suddenly collapsed in Morning.

 

 

It is unclear whether the incident is related to construction work or an earthquake that occurred two days ago in western Turkey.
