The attractiveness of the labor market in Dubai is driving 40% growth in the higher education sector

A specialized report revealed expectations of a record rise in student enrollment rates in higher education in the Emirate of Dubai, with a growth rate exceeding 40% by the academic year 2029-2030, driven by accelerating demand, as the number of currently registered students exceeds 42 thousand students for the academic year 2024-2025.
The report issued under the title “Future Cadres and Their Skills” by Dubai International Academic City and Dubai Knowledge Park (affiliated with TECOM Group), in cooperation with the international “Times Higher Education”, attributed this growth to the emirate’s professional attractiveness. 73% of students confirmed that they chose Dubai for its promising job opportunities, which is supported by the confidence of employers, as 88% of them praised the quality of educational outcomes and the ability of graduates to meet market requirements.
In response to this demand, the report indicated parallel growth on the supply side, with the number of education service providers in the emirate increasing by 37% over the past two years.
Dubai continues to consolidate its position as a global destination for education, supported by an integrated academic system that includes 41 private education institutions, including 37 international branches of prestigious universities from 12 countries, most notably the University of Manchester, the University of Birmingham Dubai and the University of Strath Clyde Business School, within an advanced educational environment supported by pioneering initiatives such as the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Education Strategy.
