المملكة: City Health Cluster Laboratory…the first health facility in the Kingdom to obtain international accreditation

Received Madinah Health Assembly, today, Thursday, received the international accreditation certificate for the central laboratory at the Unified Testing Center from the Saudi Accreditation Center, after meeting the requirements and standards of ISO 15189 for medical laboratories, within the activities of the World Health Forum 2025.

A unique achievement in the path of health services

This accreditation is considered one of the most prominent international certificates in the field of Laboratory quality, and is subject to the supervision of the International Laboratory Accreditation Organization (ILAC), while the Saudi Accreditation Center is the only national body authorized to grant this type of accreditation in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers.

This achievement represents a qualitative milestone in the development process of Health services, as the central laboratory in the Unified Testing Center is considered the first laboratory in the Kingdom that serves primary health care centers to obtain this international accreditation, which reflects the cluster’s commitment to applying the highest standards of accuracy and quality, and continuing the path of institutional excellence in the health care sector in the region.

The Medina Health Cluster confirmed that this international accreditation comes as an extension of its efforts to develop the infrastructure of medical analysis laboratories and enhance the reliability of examination results, which contributes to raising the efficiency of health services and improving Beneficiaries’ experience, in line with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 towards sustainable and integrated health care.
