Dubai Municipality warns against publishing and sending images of invoices and electronic payment codes (QR)

Dubai Municipality has warned against publishing or sharing details of requests from transaction numbers or receipts for its services through social media or unofficial channels, to avoid using them in fraudulent attempts or exploiting them to access confidential data.
She called for the necessity of avoiding sharing payment data and not publishing or sending images of invoices and electronic payment codes (QR) without verifying and confirming their official source, as it may lead to security risks that threaten users’ privacy and data integrity.
She stressed the importance of avoiding sharing internal correspondence and not sharing any work-related messages or correspondence via email or social media, as they may contain confidential data that can be exploited.
She called on the public to protect personal information from electronic exploitation, explaining that publishing or sharing work information or payment data through unofficial means may lead to security risks that threaten digital privacy.
