For the first time in history.. the taekwondo team achieves fifth place in the World Championship in China

In a historic achievement since the founding of the Taekwondo Federation in 1978 and throughout the team’s participation in all the various world championships that began in 1982, the Taekwondo team achieved a great achievement by obtaining fifth place in the overall standings of the tournament out of 198 countries that participated in the tournament and represented by 995 male and female players.
The team succeeded in achieving outstanding results, most notably Saif Essa’s victory in achieving gold in the under-87 kg weight category. It is an achievement in itself, given that it had not been achieved for 28 years. Then, 19-year-old Jana Khattab was able to achieve bronze in the world championship in the under-53 kg weight, in addition to Aya Shehata achieving fifth place in the championship in the under-67 kg weight.
Egypt is participating in the championship with a delegation consisting of Engineer Mohamed Agiza, a member of the federation’s board of directors and head of the federation’s technical committee, as head of the delegation. The delegation includes 10 Players: Moataz Assem, under 54kg, Muhammad Osama, under 58kg, Ahmed Hisham, under 63kg, Ramy Issa, under 74kg, Ahmed Rawi, under 80kg, Saif Issa, under 87kg, Abdullah Essam, over 87kg, Jana Khattab, under 53kg, Aya Shehata, under 67kg, and Malak Sami, under 87kg. 73 k. In addition to a technical and medical team consisting of the technical director of the Spanish national team, Rosendo Alonso, the general coach, Captain Osama Sayed, the Turkish coach, Gulsha Tapia, Captain Mahmoud Abdel-Gawad, Captain Ahmed Gonga, and Dr. Qadri Al-Murr, a physical therapist.
