600 specialists and 66 research papers at the Emirates Sports Medicine Conference

Dubai, 31st October / WAM / The activities of the second edition of the Emirates Sports Medicine Conference, organized by the Emirates Society for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine, and hosted by the Mohammed bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences in Dubai Healthcare City, will begin tomorrow, with broad national and international participation that includes more than 600 specialists from various countries of the world.
The two-day conference witnesses the participation of 53 lecturers from elite doctors and specialists in hospitals, medical centers and universities, representing more than 25 countries. The activities include five workshops and 66 presentations of research and applied papers dealing with the latest developments in the fields of sports medicine and rehabilitation medicine.
The conference also attracts 17 sponsors and exhibiting companies from inside and outside the country, showcasing the latest technologies, products and devices in the fields of sports medicine, rehabilitation, healthy nutrition, and related advanced technologies.
Dr. Abdullah Al Rahoumi, President of the Emirates Society for Sports and Rehabilitation Medicine and Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee, expressed his happiness with the great turnout witnessed in the second edition, stressing that the conference recorded a remarkable growth in the number of lectures, participants, workshops and exhibitors compared to the first edition.
He said that in just two years, the conference has become one of the most prominent medical and scientific events specialized in sports medicine and rehabilitation medicine, which holds us responsible for continuing to develop and raise the level of organization in a way that befits the status of the UAE and its global leadership in various fields, and the efficiency of its national institutions and qualified cadres.
In its scientific sessions, the conference addresses a number of specialized topics, including technology and artificial intelligence in sports, sports development, performance testing, women’s sports, regenerative medicine, and Paralympic sports.
