Emirates SkyCargo adds Bangkok to its network of destinations

Dubai, 31 October / WAM / Emirates Sky Cargo announced the operation of a new weekly cargo flight to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, in a step that enhances the expansion of its extensive network of operations across East and Southeast Asia. The new addition is part of the carrier’s efforts to expand its presence in one of the world’s most active regions in trade movement, and provides its customers in the region with greater flexibility in transporting their goods to various parts of the world via Dubai. 
Emirates SkyCargo, the cargo arm of the world’s largest international air carrier, operates its dedicated flights to 43 global destinations within its network, including 11 destinations in East and Southeast Asia. 
Badr Abbas, Emirates Senior Vice President of Cargo, said: “Our operations in East and Southeast Asia are among the largest in our global network, whether in terms of the number of flights, cargo aircraft or available operational capacity. However, demand is constantly increasing, making this region the main pillar of our expansion during the year 2026 and beyond.”
He added: Markets such as Thailand and Vietnam have today become the new engine of global trade, with their advanced manufacturing capabilities, growing digital economies, and world-class logistical infrastructure, and we are committed to supporting this growth by providing fast, reliable and efficient shipping services that connect the region to the world. 
In response to the high demand for cargo services, Emirates SkyCargo has increased the number of its flights to and from Hanoi to four flights per week. Three of these flights connect directly with Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai, while the fourth flight connects Dubai, Taipei and Hanoi.
The carrier also launched a sixth weekly cargo flight to the Chinese city of Guangzhou, to meet the strong demand for transporting consumer technology products, electronic devices and e-commerce shipments from the Chinese mainland, and to ensure stable operational capacity during peak periods and commercial seasons, Emirates SkyCargo continues to operate additional cargo flights across the region when needed.
Over the past thirty years, Emirates SkyCargo has expanded its operations in East and Southeast Asia in a strategic and thoughtful manner, to today serve 25 destinations via 45 scheduled cargo flights, 13 charter flights, and 315 passenger flights weekly, providing a total cargo capacity of up to 21,000 tons.
